FinTide ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Information We Collect

FinTide is designed to work with minimal data collection. Specifically:

• Portfolio data — All portfolio, asset, and alert data you enter is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. We do not transmit or store this data on our servers.
• Google Drive backup (optional) — If you choose to use the backup feature, your portfolio data is uploaded to your personal Google Drive account. We only access the specific file we create; we do not access any other Drive files. This is entirely opt-in.
• Price data — The app fetches live market prices via our proxy API (api.fintide.app). This request includes the asset symbols you track but no personally identifiable information.
• Purchase information — Subscription and purchase management is handled by RevenueCat. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but not your payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
• We do not use advertising SDKs or show ads
• We do not sell your data to third parties
• We do not use analytics or crash reporting SDKs that transmit personal data
• We do not track you across apps or websites

3. Third-Party Services

The app integrates with the following third-party services:

• RevenueCat — Subscription management. Privacy Policy
• Google Play Billing — Payment processing. Privacy Policy
• Google Drive API — Optional backup only. Privacy Policy

4. Data Storage and Security

Your portfolio data is stored locally on your device. If you use Google Drive backup, data is stored in your Google Drive under your Google account's security controls. We do not have access to your backup files other than through the app with your explicit authorisation.

5. Children's Privacy

FinTide is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
